OMODA C9 reaches 1,030 sales in South Africa in 15 months, with the arrival of the C9 PHEV expanding the line and strengthening the brand's premium presence.

OMODA & JAECOO South Africa celebrates a significant milestone with the C9, its premium SUV, which has reached 1,030 units sold in 15 months on the market, since its launch in November 2024.

Brand Tone and Expansion

The line gains the C9 PHEV version, introduced in 2025, expanding the offering with plug-in capability. Combining electric efficiency with the luxury of the C9, the PHEV variant offers up to 150 km of 100% electric range and up to 1,100 km of total range, with a power output of 440 kW and torque of 915 N.m.

Under the hood, the C9 features a 2.0 turbo gasoline engine that delivers 192 kW and 400 N.m, with the option of front-wheel or all-wheel drive, depending on the version, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Since its debut, the model has positioned itself as a sophisticated alternative for those seeking a premium experience.

Brand Expansion in South Africa

Since OMODA & JAECOO entered the South African market in 2023, the brand has already surpassed 20,000 total sales, reflecting robust demand and a growing presence in the country.

Interior, Technology, and Features

Inside, the C9 highlights luxury and technology, featuring two 12.3-inch digital dashboards, high-quality audio, wireless charging, and a solid set of driver assistance systems. The offering of comfort and technology items raises the bar in the local premium SUV segment.

With the C9 gaining strength and the PHEV line expanding its appeal, the model continues to be a central pillar of OMODA's strategy in South Africa's premium segment.
