About the 2026 Silverado EV

The 2026 Silverado EV arrives as the third year of the first generation of the electric pickup, bringing the Trail Boss with off-road suspension and tires, and discontinuing the RST. Some aesthetic changes include new color options and appearance packages, as well as adjustments to the lighting layout and fascia designs.

The 2026 maintains the configuration with two powertrains, and the WT, LT, and Trail Boss lines compete on price, with the Trail Boss not offering the Standard Range package in its corresponding configuration. The WT receives a new aesthetic called Silverado EV Custom; the LT and Trail Boss maintain the balance between price and equipment.

Among the technical novelties, the WT loses Apple CarPlay/Android Auto for the 2026 line, and two additional appearance packages and three new paint colors emerge. Digital Key via OTA update did not go live in 2026, and some tailgate options were removed.

The Silverado EV uses the narrow GM BT1 platform, with GM batteries and motors. Dual powertrains vary: WT offers 510 hp / 615 lb-ft; RST, 754 hp / 785 lb-ft; and Trail Boss, 725 hp / 775 lb-ft. Towing up to 12,500 lb and payload up to 2,350 lb.

Launch prices included the base price of the WT with Standard Range battery starting at $54,895, LT starting at $62,995, and Trail Boss with Extended Range starting at $72,095. The destination fee rose to $2,595 in December 2025.

The online configurator is now available, and the vehicle has been compared with the combustion Silverado 1500 and rivals like the Ford F-150 Lightning, Tesla Cybertruck, and Rivian R1T.

For 2026, the maximum range exceeded 492 miles on the WT with Max Range, and a record of 1,000 miles on a single charge was achieved. The RST Stars & Steel Special Edition returns as a limited edition to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the USA.
