Ford reviews strategy after sharp drop in EVs in Q4 2025
A recent post on LinkedIn by EV Co indicates that Ford's electric vehicle deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2025 fell by 52% compared to the same period last year, totaling 14,513 units.
According to the post, sales of the Mustang Mach-E, the F-150 Lightning, and the E-Transit declined this quarter, aligning with Ford's strategy to shift towards hybrids and lower-cost EV platforms.
The data suggest broader demand pressures in the American EV market, with consumers and manufacturers re-evaluating price and product mix. For investors, the scenario points to lower EV volume growth in the short term and pressure on traditional automakers' margins, while there are opportunities for players focused on hybrids, more affordable EVs, or associated infrastructure and technology.
