Hybrid Power in Focus

Lamborghini is preparing the Urus Performante with hybrid propulsion, promising the brand's most powerful SUV. The hybrid system, which is already based on the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 present in the Urus SE PHEV, could exceed the 800 hp mark in the new top-tier version.

The current engine delivers a combined 789 hp, making it clear there is potential to surpass 800 hp in the next Performante cycle.

Style Updates for 2027

The visual changes will be subtle: a front end with intakes connected to the headlights by a more vertical line, a thinner and higher lower air intake, as well as a ducktail spoiler at the rear, featuring Performante parts. New wheels and carbon details are expected, maintaining the family identity.

Urus Continuity Beyond 2030

With the Lanzador completely canceled, Lamborghini signals that the Urus concept may continue in production beyond 2030, possibly under a new name. The brand confirmed that the 10,000 rpm V8 engine used in the Temerario should remain active for at least two generations, helping to maintain the SUV's relevance until the transition to the next generation.

Timeline and Perspectives

The Urus Performante is scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2026. The complete replacement, on the other hand, is likely only from 2027, allowing time to maintain the prominence of the current portfolio while the brand plans its next steps.
