The Lotus Eletre X, a plug-in hybrid SUV, has arrived in China operating under the For Me label for the local market, aiming to combine luxury with high-caliber electrified performance.

Priced at 508,000 yuan (approx. US$ 73,500), the model offers 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds and a 70 kWh battery, which guarantees about 420 km of range according to the CLTC cycle.

Lotus confirmed that the first deliveries begin on March 30th. However, the same crossover will be sold abroad as the Eletre X, with a global launch scheduled for June 2026.

Prices and versions in China

The Eletre X arrives in two local configurations:

  • Standard — 508,000 yuan. 2.0 L turbo engine, two electric motors combined for 700 kW (939 hp). 70 kWh battery, 420 km range (CLTC). 21-inch wheels, dual-chamber air suspension. L2 assisted driving system with 128-line LiDAR and 700 TOPS Nvidia Drive Thor-U processor. Five-seat interior, panoramic roof, three screens, and 23 KEF speakers. Front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage; heated and ventilated rear seats.
  • SE — 558,000 yuan (approx. US$ 80.7k). Includes a more advanced assisted driving system with NOA. Upgrades: 48V active anti-roll bar, electrochromic panoramic glass roof, carbon fiber interior, and UWB key. Optionally, a four-seat interior with two front chairs. The powertrain remains compatible with the Standard version.

Deliveries are scheduled for March 30th in China, and units are already available for test drives at Lotus stores in the country.

Technical specifications and performance

The Eletre X is the plug-in hybrid accompanying the Eletre, launched in 2022. Although similar at first glance, both share design traits.

Dimensions (China): 5103 mm length, 2019 mm width, 1636 mm height; 3019 mm wheelbase; gross weight of 3,055 kg; towing capacity of 2,250 kg; 688-liter trunk.

X-Hybrid platform with a 900 V high-voltage system. The setup consists of a 2.0 L turbo gasoline engine generating 205 kW (275 hp), combined with two electric motors for a total output of 700 kW (939 hp). 0–100 km/h acceleration for the Chinese version in 3.3 s; 200 km/h in 10.5 s; 402 m in 11.16 s.

Lotus claims it can generate up to 150 kW of power and supply about 25 kWh of energy per hour during highway driving. In PHEV mode, accelerating 0–100 km/h with only 10% charge takes 3.5 s, maintaining approximately 550 kW (737 hp) of available power.

Brembo four-piston brakes and Pirelli P Zero 5 LTS tires equip the vehicle.

In PHEV mode, consumption is between 0.06–0.07 L/100 km according to WLTC. With the battery depleted, consumption rises to 5.98–6.10 L/100 km. With a 52 L tank, the mixed-mode range can reach 1,416 km.
