Sales Performance in February

Even with the current slowdown in the EV scenario in the country, February was positive for NIO, with significant deliveries reinforcing a recovery trajectory compared to the previous year.

Compared to February 2025, deliveries showed a growth of 57.6%.

National Green Factories

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the 2025 list of National Green Factories, with NIO's advanced production facilities recognized for exemplary environmental performance throughout the product lifecycle.

This initiative is part of China's dual carbon strategy and involves a months-long evaluation across five dimensions: land use intensification, safe raw materials, clean production, waste recycling, and low energy carbon.

This achievement marks the transformation of NIO's factories from mere energy consumers to drivers of operational sustainability, serving as a benchmark for the automotive industry.

What makes the factory so special

NIO highlights that its factories adopted a low-carbon mindset right from the planning stage, featuring a real-time energy management system that allows monitoring and optimization to reduce energy consumption per vehicle without sacrificing efficiency. Along this path, the company also applies circular economy principles, with recycled water and reuse of industrial waste reducing reliance on virgin raw materials. In critical stages such as painting and welding, more environmentally friendly processes have helped reduce volatile organic compound emissions.

XPENG in focus

In the comparative scenario, NIO is experiencing a more favorable moment this February, registering higher deliveries than XPENG and 58% growth in the month. Analysts often say that XPENG tends to react and may regain the lead at some point, leading to an alternation of leadership between the two in the coming years.

What do you think about the role of Green Factories in the advancement of the automotive industry? Do you believe XPENG will be able to reverse the advantage at some point? Leave your opinion in the comments.
