Polestar announces offensive with four launches by 2028
Polestar has unveiled an aggressive plan to expand its electric vehicle lineup between now and 2028, with four strategic launches targeting high-demand segments in the EV market.
- Polestar 5: a four-door EV, with deliveries scheduled to begin this summer.
- New version of the Polestar 4: arriving in the fourth quarter of 2026 to broaden reach to a larger buyer base.
- Next-gen replacement for the Polestar 2: an electric sedan scheduled for early 2027.
- Polestar 7: a compact SUV planned for 2028.
The company also signals retail sales growth, expecting to expand its store network and customer base, laying the groundwork for profitable growth and operational improvement.
Despite the announcement, not all models have had availability confirmed for the US market, making the next three years a test to see if this increased offering translates into real volume growth or just more competition in an already highly competitive global EV market.
