Ducati has revealed the second-generation DesertX, reimagined around a new 890 cc V2 engine, with a focus on improving off-road capability without losing daily usability.

Developed from experiences in endurance and extreme competitions, the new DesertX promises superior performance while maintaining comfort for road use.

Key changes and specifications

  • Engine: 890cc V2 twin, 109 bhp and 92 Nm, with variable valve timing on the intake.
  • Chassis: monocoque utilizing the engine as a structural component; transmission ratio reconfigured for technical off-road and greater efficiency on the road.
  • Suspension: fully adjustable KYB front with progressive rear linkage.
  • Ergonomics: repositioned handlebars, seat, and footpegs; lower 18-liter tank, aiding the center of gravity.
  • Electronics: six-axis inertial platform, multi-level Cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake management, and six riding modes (dedicated Enduro and Rally).

The 2026 DesertX is confirmed to arrive in India in the fourth quarter of 2026.
