Xiaomi's Quarterly Profit Retreats as EVs Shine

Xiaomi reports a profit drop in Q4/2025, but advances in electric vehicles; annual revenue rises 25%.

Xiaomi, headquartered in Beijing and one of the world's largest smartphone manufacturers, presented figures reflecting a mixed scenario: adjusted annual profit rose, while the profit for the fourth quarter of 2025 receded for the first time since mid-2024.

Last year, total revenue reached 457 billion yuan, a 25% increase compared to the previous year, according to filings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Adjusted annual net profit reached 39 billion yuan, an increase of 43.8% compared to 2024.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, adjusted net profit fell 23.7% year-over-year, the first quarterly drop since mid-2024 and the largest since the same period in 2022.

The company attributed the decline to year-end headwinds but stressed its economic robustness and the continuation of investments across various segments, maintaining focus on diversification beyond smartphones.

For 2026, Xiaomi projects delivering 550,000 vehicles throughout the year.

The segment involving smartphones, the company's traditional strength, still accounted for the largest share of revenue, totaling 351.2 billion yuan for the year.

Despite the EV boost, Xiaomi faces headwinds at the end of 2025, citing higher memory costs and increasingly fierce competition. The company maintains its economic strength and reinforces investments in AI and new products to balance growth.

In summary, Xiaomi maintained resilience across its businesses, even with challenging factors noted in the fourth quarter of 2025.
