
Leapmotor launches the A10, an affordable compact SUV with LiDAR, several configurations, 39.8 kWh/53 kWh batteries, and advanced technology.
Leapmotor announced the A10, its all-electric compact SUV, bringing LiDAR to the budget segment for the first time. The top version, equipped with LiDAR, is priced under 90,000 yuan (approx. US$ 13,020).
The A10 is offered in four configurations: the first three, without LiDAR, start at 65,800 yuan, 69,800 yuan, and 76,800 yuan; the top one starts at 86,800 yuan.
Technical specifications
- Chassis: The A10 is a 5-seater SUV with a length of 4,270 mm, width of 1,810 mm, height of 1,635 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,605 mm.
- Propulsion: Electric motor of up to 90 kW and 150 Nm of torque, suitable for urban use.
- Batteries: Options of 39.8 kWh or 53 kWh, with CLTC range of 403 km or 505 km, respectively.
- Fast charging: 30%–80% in just 16 minutes.
Technology and cockpit
- Cockpit chips: Qualcomm SA8155 or SA8295, plus the SA8650 chip for ADAS.
- Top of the line: 27 perception components, including LiDAR, with 200 TOPS computing capability for assisted urban/highway driving and parking memory.
- Interior: 8.88 inches for the instrument panel and a floating 14.6-inch central screen in 2.5K resolution.
- Voice assistance: Integration with Alibaba's Qwen AI language model.
Platform and launch
The A10 is Leapmotor's first global model built on the new A platform, coded B03X in international markets. The vehicle had already been presented at the Brussels Motor Show.
Market and competition
The A10 arrives to compete with popular models such as the BYD Yuan Up and Geely Xingyuan, aiming to combine value with smart configurations.
Growth vision and plans
Leapmotor ended 2025 with its first annual profitability, delivering nearly 600,000 vehicles. The company maintains the ambitious goal of delivering over 1 million units in 2026, with new models accounting for about 60% of sales.
In addition to the A10, the company plans to launch several cars this year. Its large flagship SUV, the D19, is expected to hit the market between mid-April and the end of April.
