BYD expands its luxury portfolio with the Denza Z9 GT, a high-performance electric SUV from the Denza sub-brand. The launch campaign features star Daniel Craig, known for playing James Bond, as the central piece of the promotion in Europe.
What is the Denza Z9 GT
It is a high-performance electric shooting brake, with three motors totaling nearly 1,000 hp. BYD claims the Z9 GT can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds.

Launch and market milestone
The Denza Z9 GT arrives in Europe on April 8, 2026, as part of BYD's strategy to bring premium models abroad. BYD also highlighted recent global performance figures: over 4.6 million new energy vehicles sold last year, and the brand surpassed Ford, ranking sixth in global car sales in 2025.
In Europe, BYD is already leaving Tesla behind for two consecutive months, with 17,954 units versus 17,664. The Flash Charging ultra-fast charging technology is presented as a key element for European infrastructure, with the slogan “Ready in 5, Full in 9, Cold Add 3”.
In the Chinese market, the Denza Z9 GT offers a range of up to 1,036 km under CTLC conditions, which BYD describes as the longest range among fully electric vehicles.
The launch reinforces the image of luxury, technology, and driving emotion, aligned with the partnership with Daniel Craig, a symbol of the James Bond era.
According to the results disclosed, BYD maintains a trajectory of strong performance in Europe, with the Denza Z9 GT among the attractions planned for this year.
