Electreon fecha aquisição da InductEV para expandir o carregamento sem fio de veículos elétricos

Electreon acquires InductEV to expand wireless electric vehicle charging

Electreon acquires InductEV, uniting wireless charging platforms for cars, light fleets, and trucks, with dynamic and automatic solutions.

Electreon announced the acquisition of InductEV, integrating assets and intellectual property to expand its wireless electric vehicle charging portfolio. The union combines Electreon's dynamic charging technology with InductEV's expertise, offering a unique platform for fleet operations.

This merger, recently announced, creates what the companies call the industry's most comprehensive wireless charging portfolio, serving passenger vehicles, light delivery vans, and Class 8 heavy trucks.

The integration places four distinct solutions into a single suite, covering the entire operational spectrum: dynamic charging while driving, opportunistic charging during planned stops, and overnight recharging at depots and parking lots.

Integrated Charging Solutions

  • LINE for high-speed dynamic charging on highways and urban corridors.
  • DASH for high-power semi-dynamic charging at stopping locations such as taxi queues, bus stops, and traffic lights.
  • DOT for automatic, cable-free charging of vehicles parked in depots and logistics hubs.
  • Ultra DOT for high-power heavy-duty transport applications, powered by InductEV technology.

Operational Benefits for Fleets

  • Increased operational uptime, as routes allow for continuous recharging without dedicated stops, turning transit time into additional mileage.
  • Reduced range anxiety with proper route planning, even with smaller batteries.
  • Wireless system improves safety by eliminating cable handling in any weather condition.
  • Smaller batteries enable greater payload and lower total cost of ownership, with Flow software optimizing power delivery and avoiding demand peaks.

Supply Chain Security and Incentives

The partnership combines Electreon's offshore manufacturing efficiency with Build America Buy America offerings, ensuring access to funds and incentives for North American transit agencies and federal contractors.

"Together with InductEV, we are creating a true global powerhouse," stated Oren Ezer, CEO and co-founder of Electreon. "We are now the only partner capable of delivering a wireless solution for every charging scenario, helping fleets go electric without compromising operations."

This integration aims to accelerate the adoption of wireless charging, supporting initiatives such as wireless charging highway technology testing in Florida and the deployment of fast wireless bus recharging in London.
